Incompetent CEO with incompetent executives to weather the headwinds with no clue on markets, technologies or competition
CTO was asked to leave because he couldn't manage the transition to the cloud fast enough - old school guy that didn't understand modern development or the cloud. I suspect there will be a small collection of engineers and middle management that will follow. If all goes well, the CEO will retain his job for another 18 months, but it not.
it is going happen his Q, before moving to the Tower.
Agree. There is a lot of dead wood.
There will be a new round of layoffs every 12-16 months anyway (whatever the minimum time-window so they don't have to report a "mass layoff / plant closing" under WARN regulations), because the company is trying to readjust senior vs junior mix, but also just because it's one of those companies that "gets a haircut" every year or so now. Welcome to the new normal.
But hey, some teams get to work from home whenever they want now, so we've got that going for us, which is nice.
