Any employee in USA who works for this company during the weekends is an id--t. You do know they are going to cut you eventually. It's just a matter of time! Haven't you learned anything these past three years, the way Nokia has cut left and right. All those weekends and early morning meetings (with Finland and late evening meetings with China) we worked to keep the network up and running only for them cut, cut, and cut. Have you noticed, the Finland guys never have a meeting during USA working hours. They don't even give us a 24 hour notice of a meeting they plan to cancel. They have no consideration for USA folks. But they sure enjoy the revenue that USA customers give them every quarter.

Leave the diversity issues to HR. Some of you know what I'm talking about.

It amazes me how management has so much time (to waste) instead of concentrating on what they should be!

This is my opinion only - Management screws up time and time again. And we are left to clean up their mess by giving up our weekends and late evening with family while the higher ups get their big fat bonus check and a salary increase. I couldn't believe when I heard the higher up say - please tell your family members you're going to be busy this year working on 5G. Well, they screwed up big time and now they want us to clean up their mess. I don't need the scare tactics, guilt, pressure, or stress. If the company can't hire the right management team to make the right decisions (especially Finland management thinking they know it all and don't even want to bother listening to ALU management who have years of experience with USA customers) then the company should fail. The only reason Nokia is able to survive in the USA market is because Huawei and ZTE are banned and Samsung didn't have a big 4G presence. But if Verizon and ATT select Samsung as their number two vendor (assuming Ericsson as number one since they have a much better product - just look at the trial results), Nokia is going to be in a bad shape. All those smiles on the executives faces will turn into frowns. They cut so many talented US employees and wireless management that they are now frantically looking for people to work on 5G. Just look at all the job postings they have for 5G in Poland, India, China. This is my opinion only.

"Salary data published by Nokia suggests around 8,000 jobs could be at risk from a €500 million ($574 million) program, although savings are also expected from reductions to the real-estate footprint and overhead costs."
