Thread regarding DTE Energy Co. layoffs

DTE Energy is more then fair.

I recently retired from DTE after32 years and have nothing but good to say about them (at least the gas side of the company Michcon)).

They have a no lay-off policy and do everything to avoid any type of lay off. They plan ahead the best they can and offer generous buyouts and rely on attrition and will relocate employees as needed. They work very reasonably with their employees in personal time of need and offer any help they possibly can. Whoever disputes this must not be a reasonable employee. By the way, I was a represented employee and can tell you they work well with the unions.

DTE is loaded with a– kissers and butt munchers. That's how you get ahead there.

DTE is a bloated welfare state. Sure the employees love it. It's fat city. They never worked a hard day in their life. Customers get screwed, because electric and gas service is a monopoly business.

I agree. Am not retired yet but have had great experience. No company is perfect but DTE is best one I worked for -- good people who take care of each other. They didn't lay anyone off when autos went bankrupt and Michigan was hit hard.
