More layoffs at an Argosy ground campus...

Cynthia Baum was not laid off. She quit when she found out what was happening to the staff.
DCEH. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.
I called to speak to my academic advisor and they told me that she wasn’t there and offline. That translate to fired! I’m going to br transferring out after my class for sure!
Can confirm argosy Tampa has lost all or most admissions and rent hasn’t been paid for the building. The remaining faculty and staff are cleaning bathrooms and bringing in their own toilet paper. No AC. Most assume that campus will be shut down by March or April, based upon conversations with higher up admin. Students, seek transfers elsewhere.
Each week since the Spring 2019 semester started, AU employees (faculty & staff) have been laid off. There are rumors (based off posts on layoff.com) that allDCEH campuses are set to close March 31...can anyone confirm or disconfirm these rumors? Students need to make decisions on whether or not to waste anymore time with this institution...
DCEH has zero control and communication with us, because we are in receivership. We will not be hearing from DCEH!
...OK not DCEH but the receivers treat us like mushrooms either way totally wrong tearing the place down a section at a time. If it is salvageable then work on it. If it’s the Titantic then sink it already. Be done with it so we can all focus on our futures.
To the poster who asked how many people were left in finance there are 2 and if you need transcripts or anything if that matter you have to get it from the academic counselor who is left because the registrar was let go as well.
DCEH treats us like we’re all mushrooms ... they’re feeding us sh-- and keeping us in the dark.
How many people are still in the financial aid department at argosy Atlanta ??? because I know at least one was laid off if not more.
Duty to the students is such garbage. If you want a duty to them get them official transcripts, tell them to file defense to repayment, and tell them to get out.
Also protect yourself. Look for another job now.
In Atlanta there is basically a skeleton crew. Many of us received an email from the campus president around 3:30 ish requesting a meeting. In the meeting was all of the chairs/deans, library services, and what remained of student services minus 2 finance counselors and an academic counselor. Everyone in the room was let go in the same manner as those before us. It is my belief the Atlanta campus will close and only the online programs will remain if that! As we were packing up students were racing down in droves requesting officia transcripts and planning their exit strategies. The whole situation is a clusterf*ck and I agree with another poster there is a special place in hell for DCEH and this so called “receiver”
What a dumpster fire of an organization. I know domestic violence victims get better treatment than what this lame organization has shown to its employees...Yuck!!!!
Most of us who remain or remained did it because we felt a deep and abiding ethical concern for our students and helping them get through their program and offer some stability. We all knew this could shift at any time. A sinking ship that is taking our reputations, our hard work and investments with it as it sinks - or actually floats off with whatever profits it s---ed out of the system at all of our expenses. Their accreditation and attraction to student was on the faculty and staff - no the organization. So no - we did not drink the flippin' kool-aid, we felt an obligation AN ETHICAL OBLIGATION to our students. And we get screwed too. No severence, no benefits, sh--ty reputation - we now bear the brunt of the organizational aftermath and are left to explain that this is not about the students. Try finishing dissertation obligations for what ends up being less than $10 an hour, no one takes on that responsibility for the money - that is ethical obligation.
Yes, all the program deans, associate deans, and directors of training were laid off today in all of the psych doctoral programs across the entire system.

Yes, we (students) heard via faculty that Cynthia Baum had been laid off this evening as well. We were told to get copies of our official transcripts and prepare for the worst.
Chancellor? As in Cynthia Baum?
I heard there were 400 Argosy layoffs today.
Atlanta also lost dean & we are hearing that the chancellor has been laid off as well
Did the people left at AUO really think they were going to have jobs for much longer? What kind of kool aid did the feed you to have you ignore the dumpster fire going on all around. If all of admissions being let go didn’t clue you in I don’t know what would.
This is great news.
whp were you faculty or admin?
What is EPF?
I thought Atlanta was staying open? One of the 7 campuses under EPF.
Half of Argosy online was laid off through a freakin conference call. I was lining up interviews before being let go today. Good riddance DCEH. There’s a special place in hell reserved you. DCEH made EDMC look good, which is hard to do. Gone 2019.
All Admissions were let go on Jan 22nd
On the Atlanta campus all librarians, the chairs of all academic departments, and the head of financial aid were laid off today. Last week, all of career services on all campuses, all of admissions, and human resources were laid off.
Admissions too?
What positions? I know many librarians got laid off.
We lost more support roles. Pretty much down to faculty.
Just hacked about half of the 42 of us left in online also.
