Thread regarding Saudi Aramco layoffs

Aramco Services Company is being run into the ground...

No capital funding for any projects that are required.

Layoffs happening, many staff are over worked and management doesn't seem to care.

Long term employees are quitting.

Worst management this place has ever seen.

The comments from the original post in this string is correct in every word. I retired from Saudi Aramco in 2017, after transferring from ASC many years ago. It was a direct, seamless transfer. The office politics at ASC was very terrible, almost unbearable, as there was a constant fight to appease the management in Houston and Dhahran. Backstabbing was an everyday event at both offices. It didn’t have to be that way, as all of us made the office politics harder to deal with than the actual work.

Aramco Services company is just an outlet for horny saudi rejects to come so they can ogle at the white young women they hire in Houston. When they don't get anything in return, layoff time!

There is a reason why Aramco Services is constantly getting sued, by women.

Yip, worked there for over 7 years, company has been run into the c-apper by mindless Arabs who come and go as they please and occasionally claim to do some work. Many good people have left... if your lookin’ for a good company and place to work - keep lookin’....

If you have less than 6 months to 50, you should. I've got 5 months to 10 years and I would.

You have no funding because the GOSI and PIF are broke.

One company can only support a limited number of idle and unproductive people.

Of course they target retirees and people nearing retirement age.

You people didn’t think you were actually going to GET those benefits did you? They just made you work harder and tolerate more BS.

New round of layoffs last week. Targeted many people that were near retirement age.

I imagine there will be a new round of lawsuits filed.

moan-scents? Does this have anything to do with goats and perfume?

Thousands of saudi employees at Aramco do nothing all day. We saw this. Don’t come in here talking to us about lazy low performers. The laziest most idle employees in the world are riding the clock on the Aramco Saudi payroll.

This is monesense those who are lazy and low performers are the ones who get laidoff. I part about havinf phone transferred to mobile bwinf deactivated is a lie specially wirh the IP phones we have. These are the voicea of rhose who are lazy bums who just want to make a noise. I guess they deserved it.

Very few americans i worked with over the years were laid off. They usually get disgusted with the lies and corruption and cover-ups or get tired of dealing with the consequences of or fallout from poor decision making and leave on their own. I saw dozens come in with dreamy wide eyes, wake up, and bail.

The few who thrive in the Aramco environment? They aren’t much good anywhere else and Aramco is more than welcome to keep them.

I don't work for ASC, but in Dhahran, some expats are definitely overworked. It depends on what you are doing and who you work for. As for ASC, I think it is a function of America / Americans being phased out of Aramco. All the expats where I work were from the US five years ago. Now, less than half hold US passports. In two more years, there will probably be none. Aramco doesn't need to lay Americans off, we are leaving on our own. We don't stay where we are not wanted. Period.

Overworked: Feature that rolls over the office phone to the mobile was deactivated and they have to show up to get paid.

Overworked at Aramco: forced to put in two hours of effort in an 8 hour day.
