Oh dear!!! This is no surprise and yes this is coming in April. Now, consider yourself in Avaya shoes and think what you gonna do, if your business revenue is declining, your employees are getting fat pay checks for doing nothing, you have huge amounts of debt loitering as compared to your revenue, you have already filed Chap 11 once...
So, ideally you are left with few options:
1) reduce office locations
2) reduce workforce/layoffs
3) file for chapter 11 or 7 again
4) reduce your expenses
5) reduce salaries
6) work really hard on products with fresh zeal like startups do
Honestly, Avaya has tried all except gor the last bullet because the empoyees and executive are not intrested in that. So, the easiest option above is option 2. And Bang.... Please my sincere request to you all is to move away from here even if you are getting same or lesser salary. I am movinh out next month for a salary a bit leeser than what I am drawing but I am happy.
