What do you think of Mitel acquiring Avaya?

Could be good if Mitel can extricate the Nortel leadership. I would much rather see Mitel take the lead. Would be good for Avaya. Not sure about the private equity groups intentions. May run both into the ground like Silverlake did with Avaya.

I think it would be exceallannt, if Mitel not Mattell as was the rumor would buy Avaya, bekause we need to get good jobs that workers can do to pay bills and pull wire and coax and cat 3 is good honeast work. I didn't like cat 5 and 6 thst hurt my fingers so i fokused on running cable not jacking them too much. But i sure hope the rumor i keep hearing about layoffs isn't treu because i am excited to do legends and spirit and 206 merlins again i run wire to the jacks that the walls have an x where the jack goes and that's how we knoe where to snake wall. Its nice but dont breath the sheetrock dust in it tastes not good .

Gotta have comic relief. I think the cable guy is great. He is bitter but who cares? Look at Avaya, they spun from Lucent, went public, went private, went public, now merging with a long time second tier player who out performed them for years now. All in about ten years. Avaya has really put the screws to so many people and customers. The revolving leadership works the system for self profit. Its time to put this dog to rest.

I worked the DSIC, mostly installing s8700/s8800, a long time ago we did have "techs" that primarily pulled wire and unboxed phones. Gotta tell ya, sure missed them on large installs. No fun unboxing 2000 phones. Can't think of a more boring job.

This dude who keeps trolling about running coax cables on every single thread here must be a very p-ss-d non-union services worker who got axed. Come on man, I left Avaya 1 year ago after staying for nearly 5 years in a variety of different roles and while it wasn't the best job, it definitely wasn't the worst. Get a life man

Imagine!!! Patrick and Raman will have to report to people in Mitel whom they have fired. I can't stop laughing.

There are so many duplicate products between Avaya and Mitel. Just imagine how many products of Avaya will be discontinued and the quantity of people that will be layed off. Be prepared for the worst ever layoffs.

I just herd mitel may be hiearing tecknicions regardless of if they buy avaya. I work for avaya as a dsic teck and well i did till i got laid off i onstalled definity prologix systems in the late 90's. I also helped , well i dodnt install the prologix the other workers did but i helped i want to get job back with Mitel and help the technicians again but i dont like watching the technicians call denver bekause they don't knoe how to progream anything. Or at least they didn't then. Maybe some do now but that was along time a go. Maybe those guys are retired, but i did hear mitel is hiring regardless i also heard they are bringing back distribution technicians to unbox sets and to plug them in. Like that planet fitness commercial i pick things up and put them down, i open phones and put them out. Let me know what state is hireaing ill apply . Thank uoy

we all know that this "wire pulling" guy is some competitor trying to spread traditional FUD/nonsense to make Avaya look bad so maybe they will have a chance to beat Avaya in the competition for customers. Just cut it out because you are wasting your time this there is no reality to this anyway. nobody, including customers are falling for this

This prayer will save you.

Dear God,

You know my needs. You know my desire for a job, for work I enjoy doing, for the next step in my career to present itself. I pray that you would guide me as I continue on this job hunting journey. May I focus first on your will for my life, putting your desires and your plan above my own wishes and wants. Open doors to new opportunities that you desire for me, and equip me with the skills, knowledge, and wisdom I need to take steps forward in this process.

As I craft my resume, write cover letters, submit my applications, connect with new companies and potential employers, and go on interviews, give me the words to speak and the courage to share who I am and what I can do. Give me confidence that can only come from you, and give me humility too. I trust you, Lord– my life is in your hands. Your will be done. Thank you for being near to me every step of the way and thank you for always providing for my every need. May this all be for your glory.

In your name,

Amen
