Thread regarding Dream Center Education Holdings, LLC (DCEH) layoffs

It’s all over Monday

I’m not supposed to say anything being in the know but I don’t care anymore. This company has eff’d all of you at every turn. They’re getting rid of me to but this Monday all campus locations. Doesn’t matter if you are part that “separated” the deal was never finalized. Just like the move to non-profit was never finalized. This includes South in Pittsburgh, any still functioning AI locations, and yes the law school (they’re are finishing the final semester as outlined in the court documents) but any non-essential staff is gone on Monday. I’m sorry I couldn’t have done more and I hope we all land in better places.

"Tuesday BTW so guess this post was wrong. I passed my quiz, glad I studied. Midterm hands-on exam is next. I really like the campus and professors so hopefully everything will be OK. We got new gear recently. Word is college is moving into a new building downtown next year which sounds pretty amazing."

PLEASE:

You've got to love the thinly veiled 'rah, rah' of the paid shills on this site. The excitement in the above poster's tone over "new gear" and moving to a new building next year, which, BTW, "sounds pretty amazing" only gives the clown's ruse away. Apparently new gear and amazing buildings gets this guy off? Just another example of how low-down and despicable the people still involved in this fraud really are. You've got to wonder how much they pay this clown-jerk in training to do a third rate job of acting like all is well.

And OP is nowhere to be seen. No surprise there.

I addressed your question as a reply in the post named How will the remaining Ai schools survive?

I am the 4th reply.

"When will this supposed closure be announced?"

The truthful answer that would be consistent with their known modus operandi would most likely be when you least expect.

Benefits were terminated about a month or two ago. The "official" letters were sent out now. I'm interested in the OP's claim that all of the AI locations would close today. My campus is still open, for now. When will this supposed closure be announced?

Turns out OP was right. Benefits terminated. HR gone except for a skeleton crew. Everyone will be let go soon. It's a day that will live in infamy. The judge can say whatever he wants, he can't magic money out of thin air.

If you read the court order as I kindly asked all to do, those future filings are made obvious. I am not going to post the entire court order here. Please all do some homework.

The order has favored Studio. Yes, the funds can be pulled but why would they now? The transition for Studio has been moving forward. Smart restructuring seems part of the plan.

Sure, be skeptical. Who will meet the courts requirements? Will investors still put up the money? How long will the government guarantee student loans. It's still unknown. If it all makes you inordinately worried, make a move, deal with it.

Received letter today from DCEH that all benefits will be officially terminated as of 4/30/19.

It's Monday...where are you OP? Lol

Honestly, I don't think that any of the schools will remain open for very long but there's precious little substance in the OP.

The court gave no assurance. Judge Dan Aaron Polster and Magistrate Judge Thomas M. Parker on 4/26/2019. (D,JJ) made a RULING on 4/26. I personally assure you that neither judge worked on 4/27 or today 4/28. Studio schools will not close tomorrow, Monday unless they suddenly choose to.

That alone debunks the "Its all over Monday post. Most of you here believe the "its all over Monday" post. I expect and hope to not hear from you after Monday if I tell you Monday evening that I went to work and all was well.

Please read the judges order before you post on this topic.

Dear AIMIU student with a quiz Monday, April 29, why are you at an Ai? No SAT or ACT scores to get into a real college? Low GPA? Or just susceptible to salespeople cons?

If it’s a quiz at an Ai, don’t worry, you’ll pass, everyone does. The only students who can’t make it through an Ai are the ones that do not show up. As a former employee of more than a decade (that’s ten years or longer) I know for a fact that the deans do not let students who show up oh, and pay, fail.

Move on dot NOW.

I’m not being mean just stating facts. Ai has no place in higher education and anyone hiring a graduate deserves the mildly educated person they get.

Go to a “real” school and get a legitimate degree, you’ll thank me. And you’re welcome.

Sincerely,

Some one who knew better but worked at Ai anyway.

There don’t need to be any filings for Studio to pull financing or shut the door. And there is a second filing Friday no one here has mentioned that Studio and the Receiver need to submit plans by May 11 and May 31st on how the schools will move forward then and afterwards. It may not happen Monday but given the history here, do you trust anyone involved? Reasonable skepticism should apply to all parties

Post ID: @YMPS1NA-1hmw

This person has no idea what they’re talking about. There are no filings with any agencies - state, accrediting, ED - to close the schools that aren’t with the receiver. Take your quiz. OP is a barely literate (in the know but the post is gibberish) mo--n who just wants people to be afraid.

Wow I have a quiz on Monday @ AIMIU, should I not study? Week 5 on our campus and everything seems cool.

Because the court's assurances have helped anyone any step of the way throughout this whole process? Are you an id--t?

This is what the court said up until and including yesterday, the last day of the working week. Scroll down to read the court order!

So, all the trolls can now go bothering some other folks.

I love how people are being downvoted for calling out the fact that OP gave no credible support for the claim. If he or she is right, I want the truth as much as anybody. But there wasn’t even a little evidence.

This is absolutely ridiculous and unfounded. You are sowing fear for no purpose other than your own pathetic satisfaction. Granted, things are still unstable but saying something like this does nothing but frighten people for no reason. Provide proof, a citation, or crawl back into your sad little hole.
