Thread regarding NXP layoffs

20 in NL (Eindhoven+Nijmegen)

20 people are being fired in NL combined. Both Nijmegen and Eindhoven combined.

And RC gives himself $300,000,000 bonus!

This is the real game. If the board and the executive believed in this company they would be buying stock and selling them at a profit, not giving themselves this kind of money. If RC is given 300Mil then what are the board getting? Why? What are the Institutional investors wanting from them? This is the type of bonus you give people who are going to retire as it makes up for the 450Mil he would get from Qualcomm or else they believe the company will get broken up or fail and they are taking the cash while they still can. Bonuses of this level do not occur due to performance, something else is going on that we are yet to see. The one constant so far is that it is always bad for the employees and great for the investors, management and board. I would like to know if a company of this size has ever given a CEO a bonus that big. Lots of smoke and mirrors happening.

@RC's b*** kisser: woof woof woof... keep up the hard work and next year you might even get another pat on your back while RC and the others will most certainly cash in another mega bonus.

the actual average American IQ is somewhere in the 90's between dull normal and average, so you are just pointing out something that a lot of us have noticed.

@emjn have you ever noticed that you can continue to post about the Taiwan group in negative terms. Has anyone else noticed that when you point out that a lot of the american and european managers are near on r----ded with what must be IQ's of less than 100 but then the post gets taken down. I can't think of one good american or european manager in all my unfortunate time here. What's even more obvious is that all the best qualified people are not american and yet its rare to see them running anything. I guess the dumb need to protect their offspring.

@cxwu I think a lot of what NXP has done to shareholders would off been illegal in most other countries if not for being based in the Netherlands. But that's how it is. He would off been fired long ago. The Netherlands will eventually wish they had never heard of the USA or Texans.

@ec

After security business vanished, next one will be auto. In Europe contracts in diverse auto brands are in saturation and started to go back. That's what I heard from an consultancy comp. Combined with trade war this business must lose money soon. Stocks how this. Really interesting to see how N keeps business despite upgrades of legacy stuff. Actually this is the safest strategy to face an upcoming world crisis. But it can't last forever. Prepare for impact. The breakdown worldwide will be worse than dotcom.

@cpga and others: that RC can stay, it is the discretion of the board and owners of the company (investors). They are happy with him. They own and manage the company, not you, even if you don't accept it..

It is a disgrace that RC cashes in that amount of money while we see our salaries losing value year after year with all this quantitative easing rip off. After that failed merger he should have been fired on the spot.

N’s problem is there are too many salesmen and senior FAEs in Taiwan and in China, they are too senior (every one at ex-FSL or at N has been working at least over 6 years with no contribution but high salary , they have lost their passion for many years already! espeicially leader role. when a company has no growth, the leader of sales and marketing and FAE team don’t take any responsibility?)
