Thread regarding SAP layoffs

Things changed so quickly

I went from actively recruiting people to join SAP to making sure to tell anybody who'll listen to stay away from this place within a year.

How did we get where we did in such short time?

Was this change really so quick or have I not been paying enough attention in the past several years?

You may have changed roles in the past year. Those in customer facing roles have experienced these ‘new’ realities for several years now.

At least now you are awake and as the other post suggests - decide whether to stay or not. Good advice.

You mean where did "you" get where you are. If you're unhappy, move on. If you're happy, stay.

This has been going on for years and years, people are just too blind to see or admit that there are some serious issues with how the company is run until they are laid off. Just talk to some of the folks that's been around for the last 5 years. Yes, there is a lot of hype because of the SAP brand and they will encourage you to drink more blue kool-aid once you are in. Just read some of the feedback from the recent interns - free food, foosball, and nap pods - awesome!!

Don't worry, SAP does not need your help in recruiting new hires, just take a look at all the new millennial minions all lined up to join. The intern recruiters are doing an awesome job bringing in confused millennials to join the circus. BTW, the new batch that just completed the sales academy program is in for a rude awakening because their pink slip is already prepared by HR.

The change wasn‘t happening over the course of just one year. You could watch ‚Bill‘s new SAP‘ unfold since quite some time ago.

As the previous post stated: you were probably absorbed by the then still existing hype.
