Things settling well and less overhead. Focusing on the big mainframe customers and getting RSUs faster. Stock will rebound but I hope Hock gives it a few years before any more drastic cuts.
to be honest: i didn't like it in the beginning and was considering to leave. but i gave it a try. now, lot's of things have settled and it feels we're navigating through calmer water and lot's of things feel more stable. in the meantime also some "mistakes" that were made have been fixed. also some of the clients seem to recognize that it is not about slice and dice the portfolio. at the moment there is no indication for that at all. the one or the other product might get dropped but some products should have been dropped already at ca times. also with the focus on core customers they start recognize that we have more time to care about them which is seen positive from most of the customers. let's see... i don't want to be too optimistic - i became careful but there are lot's of positive signs at the moment and also the RSUs now vest already in the first year on quarterly base. the organization is very lean that makes a lot of the decision processes very short and quick and support from the BU is much easier to get if you need it. so after 6-7 months im quite positive and curios for what's next. :-)
For those of us at HCL, it s---s. I suspect most will eb gone within a year.
Mainframe is business as usual loving it. Org is more lean and u know where u stand. No coddling just get your sht done.
The company was on the brink of collapse. Broadcom stopped that. You know what has happened since the merger? The employees have known nothing but full bellies and clear skies. It’s a paradise.
I'm loving it. They got rid of my managers and gave me a better one. And more money.
I work in the Mainframe business unit and it is business as normal. Sure, my package has changed and I have lost some benefits, but this is made up (in the longer term) by the RSU grants
AR periodically sends us a video how awesome we are. Seems to coincide with some harsh realities like a key person leaving, which is happening too frequently these days. It really is amazing why anyone would leave now, my RSU was fantastic so they will have to forcibly remove me. I never would have received such grant under cheap associates. I guess working for hardware company has it’s downfalls
