Some Walgreens managers in California are saying that the Rite-aid stores in this state are going to be converted into Walgreens stores. As far as I know, Walgreens didn't go through with buying Rite-aid on the west coast. Is this just something to scare WAG employees into staying with them instead of going to Rite-aid?

As far as I know,it's all rumor:Utah and most of Colorado(RAD retained the 3 Grand Junction locations)was as close to the West Coast as the state/region-specific asset sale to Walgreens got.None of the 3 WC DC's(2 in California,one in Oregon)were among those sold off to WAG either(which did get the Philly,Spartanburg,and Warwick DC's).Some Idaho stores were set to be included,but those were 200-300 locations pulled from the final transaction.
