I haven't heard anything credible in a while, nothing that I would post anyway but I have now heard from multiple, pretty well placed sources that they are looking to move quickly on the merger and have started planning large rounds of layoffs just like they did around this time last year. Good luck all but take heart, it's a great job market.

Too quiet
Well, already rumblings on responsibility. The SVP are scrambling for sc-aps. AT least in this side.
Contracts are bought out all the time, they're barely worth the paper they're written on and believe me when I say Viacom has put plenty of escape clauses for themselves in there.
Italian? What THE
"buffoni"
Origin: Italian
Noun
buffoni m
- plural of buffone
Those “Buffoni” have a contract and you don’t.
A buffoni is someone who can’t spell CEO
the hell is a buffoni?
the CBS persons ,should be able to replace both CIO and that figure head in long island (Ernest P S).
Think about it .
they created chaos are we better off ?
do they have a vision ?
have they made an impact ?
why do they have jobs? , they are irrelevant .
GET THOSE buffoni OUT!!..LAID THEM OFF.
my bet is Kline is out.
Can’t wait to see the clash of CIO’s .
Who’s going to survive The Viacom jester or the CBS raider.
The ones with high salaries (not safe).
Even those who feel somewhat safe as the only ones left in already stripped down departments at Viacom, should be worried. If CBS buys Viacom, they're not going to be looking to fire CBS employees first, regardless of who the CEO is.
Where else can they cut at Nickelodeon? Seems that they're bare-bone as it is. Lots of layoffs over the last couple of years.

“Analysts expect Bakish—or whomever is running the combined out—to trim costs and headcount, and prepare the new company for a possible sale at some point.”
What’s sad is some teams are understaffed for the grand projects we’re being asked to do to help with the turnaround. I doubt the merger will lighten the load for those folks.

MTS is going to lose a few, too.
Why Nickelodeon? Overdue?
Def happening Nickelodeon
And if Apple buys VIacom-CBS after the coming merger, won't that be special?
This may be obvious but just wanted to say that ultimately it will go down to who is buying who, and whether your job is in an area where there may be redundancies. They will absolutely look to save money through layoffs, as this helps justify a merger that most experts say makes no business sense (if you’re cbs, you want no part of Viacom). Good luck to all.
It’s a circle.you win and you loose.
You loose and you win .
This time around I get my turn .
I put you there.
Hirings at CBS have also been frozen to prep for the merger.
We can only hope.
