More people were laid off today. Some contractors/temps still around, some full time employees were laid off though.

In reply to the stock price mention in the comments below. I hope you are aware that Lam stocks are a favorite of day traders. They don't care how well a company is doing or not doing. They trade on how much a stock goes up or down in a single day. Lam stock is volatile enough to make people money by just trading on how far it swings each day.
Incidentally, Lam stock was trading over $210 a share at the end of last year, so $183 (today @ $179) is nothing to shout about.
Not surprised to hear this. The worldwide billings for North American-based semiconductor equipment manufacturers as reported on semi.org are down 22% from last year. The orders have been dropping like a rock for the last 6 months.
