They gave up. Insecure managers and CP’s trying to stand tall.
Campus presidents, your days are numbered. They will regionalize the position and 2/3’s of you will be out of a job. Wouldn’t be surprised if they do that for other directors as well.
Mark my words.
Are they still reading or have they given up?
Earnings call is this week. Lets see how much money they lost in three months.
Anyone want to take a wager?
How long can they keep bleeding cash with no end in sight?
for me it's all the lying. they lie about enrollment. they lie about financials. they lie about layoffs. different theories for that. trying to save morale some say. trying to hide the seriousness of our situation from investors. trying to save face. you can't build or rebuild a company with lies and your imagination. tell the truth it's the one thing Home office HASN'T tried.
there will be no "big cut". from here on out layoffs will be targeted and as needed. as the numbers fall they can come at any time in any area that is perceived as overstaffed for the student count. instructors, support, reps, anyone is fair game as the company continues to shrink. and don't expect any announcements about any of those laid off. if you don't work directly with the affected person/s you'll never even know it happened. that person will just disappear.
So, word on the street is September is the big cut. Any boots on the ground to back this up?
new UTI term: riff-tirement.
"If you’re speaking the truth, what do you have to worry about?"
To the person who posted this, that's not the point.
People can speak the truth about a company and get fired for doing so. Some of us don't work at UTI anymore. Some are still at UTI, doing their best but tired of watching management take in heavy bonuses while letting the company waste away. It's not about some snarky being afraid of getting in trouble for lying about a company. People are worried about their livelihood, feeding their families and paying the mortgage.
Everyone here is anonymous, so no one is afraid of management finding out who posts here. The real fear people have are the looming layoffs.
I heard about the uniforms from a friend today. They are giving you guys a couple of shirts and you have to supply pants? That s---s. 30 years ago when I went there the instructors wore white shirts, black slacks and a nice pocket clip with their name engraved in it. Hartman would be sad to see what his staff has become. They were once proud to be the best. Now, reduced to pawns in the business game Kim has chosen to play.
If you’re speaking the truth, what do you have to worry about?
“Butts in seats”. A term I remember dearly. Thats all they cared about. The staff goes into self preservation mode and just wants butts in seats at any expence.
Just a response to the commenter who posted about UTI putting student in his class "They hide them in Smart where it lists more students than I actually have in my class". If UTI is falsifying students like this, it sounds like fraud. Also, instructors should teach. All instructors in colleges across the United States focus on teaching, not on keeping students enrolled. Certainly should not get coached and possibly fired for students who decide to stop attending. This is a horrible practice of UTI to make teachers responsible for student retention and I'm wondering if there is a governing authority that can be notified about this. Anyways, just to relate a story, a long time ago home office had the brilliant idea of sending motivational emails to staff about student success stories. They listed several students who were "wow having amazing careers, earning a lot, supporting their families, have a great job". Only, I decided to look up these students to read the comments and found they were no success stories like the email suggested. Comments were things like "working part time, earning $8 an hour", "still looking for work". One "student", I COULD FIND NO RECORD OF. SMART, at least back then, we had access to look up students across all campuses if you looked at the address/email. I don't know is SMART still gives cross campus access but I do know that no such success story student existed. I took down success story names, the success quotes etc just in case . The success story emails stopped not long after. What a joke. I was too afraid to whistleblow back then.
It's quite simple. If UTI didn't s--- and it's managers didn't s--- then we wouldn't have to post our love letters online. But it does s--- and so does management. So we post. Paranoid management. What, you afraid UTI is going to get a bad reputation. You did that to yourselves. Just read the student complaints online. UTI will close because it s---s. Glad Norwood is closing, feel bad for my coworkers but karma is a [email protected]#. Treat your employees with respect and they will have respect for the company. F off dbags. Nothing you can do about it.
remind your campus president about the United States Constitution and amendments guaranteeing free speech. also remind them they are on the same sinking ship we all are only with a better place in line to the lifeboats.
If all that doesn't work then tell them to f---off.
Maybe they can explain why they hide students from my grade book where I can’t see them? They hide them in Smart where it lists more students than I actually have in my class. How is it every student listed in my electronic grade book passed my class yet my course completion is 85%? Oh I see, the student who quit school and never entered my class is my fault! Explain that Kramer Clowns! Please coach me through it.
I'd love for big goofy Duane to get involved with this. He could try out a few new fancy words from his 'word of the day' calendar that he doesn't understand to threaten those of us that are still here trying to make difference in spite of his stupid a**ed decisions.
Big deal. Let them read.
They have always read this site. No suprise here.
Waving at uti management
Hello, miss me? I don't. :)
