Thread regarding GE Power layoffs

These Leadership Programs are garbage....

Get rid of them....most of the projects these LPs work on are useless. Executives sell them off to look good so they can move up, but in the long term 90% of LP projects are useless. If GE wants to attract top talent start going to top schools and pay top dollar. No need to overpay an id--t and have him/her move around to 4 different locations. What a WASTE of money.

THIS IS MY OPINION. However, many GE people past and present share my thoughts.

I really would like to hear from others on what they think about all these DTLP, ITLP, etc.

Totally agree, especially the OLMP. The Edison Engineering program is worth it since it forces folks to get their masters degree. The really bad part is that upper leadership think this LP folks are entitled to promotions while the hard workers in the trenches are never considered.
