Thread regarding Web.com Group Inc. layoffs

Web.com . What's ahead?

Is there any information as to what is planned for the Jacksonville and PA locations? Each time an office is closed down there is a press release claiming they are still planning to move into the new building this summer, but I'm wondering if we will have the bodies to do it.

5 months later, here's what we know:
Jacksonville moved into their new location.
Higher ups are traveling overseas for business purposes.
PA location is hemorrhaging employees, is barely making an effort to higher employees, and announced they are closing the on-site health clinic. It feels as though it's intentional.

Just a heads up - I was a sales manager in the Scottsdale office for TorchX and Leadstream. Every rep and manager that I've spoken with has had issues with their severance pay / warning pay. If you get laid off, make sure you get your questions answered before leaving because once you're gone - HR has ghosted each and everyone us. I think it was their tactic to get us to sign our severance packages sooner. Unfortunately that tactic worked on most of the people I've kept in communication with.

The new 6 storey building in Jax has 3 floors already leased out to at least 5 companies already. web will only have 3 of the floors availble.

with the termination of over 90 people in Jacksonville last week,I would imagine that customer service will not be interviewing for new positions. Cutting customer service agents will lead to long hold times for customers and cancellations will have a huge impact with the company. I've read that Web.com will be dissolved within two years. Kudos to Mr. Brown for making billions on the sale of what he built.

I just learned that the whole plan was to move into the new building but have an entire floor (out of 6) empty so there's room for expansion. Yeah, if there's 1000 people by the time the move happens, I'll be amazed. Won't be here to see it, but I'll be amazed nonetheless.

I doubt the company will even exist in two years at this rate.

I continue to see layoffs of good employees almost weekly-- many have been here more than 5 years. Hard for someone in 50's to just jump out and get a new job. The in-house medical clinic is a great benefit. Saves us a ton on meds etc. So besides losing salary, those let go have to somehow get medical care too. Sad to see this happen.

The real story is that the new CEO boldly lied to everyone today and doesn’t even realize it. She is clueless on what the average people are making there. Promises of bonuses only if the company reached certain goals. Yet not everyone is eligible for bonuses. They are still evaluating the incentive programs which typically s---. They need to pay the working personnel what the industry standards are or else they can count on every one jumping ship. That is if they don’t Lay you off first.

When David Briwn lied and sold out it was the end of web.com. When the new CEO says you don’t have to worry and trust us. It’s time to worry. Lies. Lies. Lies.

In Jax, the move is still happening sometime near the end of June/early July. The plan was always to move into the six-story facility with one full floor vacant for future expansion. There are also quite a few job postings out for Jacksonville at the moment despite the shift in staffing.
