Is AmTrust done for now with layoffs? Was yesterday it? Or is more coming our way this or next week?
I'll admit I was caught by surprise with this latest round, so if more are coming, I'd like to be a bit more prepared mentally.

IT is finalizing a contract for outsourcing part of the workload. Allegedly, this is supposed to help the developers focus more on improving the in-house software and less on bugs, but the IT department acknowledged that there's going to be more payoffs in the upcoming months. Starting soon, developers will be spoken with privately to have their role in the outsourcing explained (if they're going to be let go when it's over, if they're staying, etc). We're probably going to see a lot of people quit voluntarily because, well, who wants to stick around six months for some place they aren't wanted?

I was part of the layoffs held last Wednesday and Thursday. Going private and bringing in consultants never results in anything good and ALOT of people got laid off.
They hit the Melville, NY office this week as well. They are dropping like flies. In every dept.
More layoffs today and more coming next week
It will all be done by the middle of next week. I think they are going to start doing things in the morning with how they did it today. Good luck to everyone during all of this, I hope we all make it. If you didn’t, I hope you find something as soon as possible.
