Thread regarding NXP layoffs

Starts have dropped off. Waiting for next round of layoffs

Starts are less than half of what they were last year. Layoffs have been a few people here and a few people there. Expect layoffs to be more senificant after Q2 eurnings come out.

@auzj the same bs is happening In at least one of the EU sites. They close depts, open them again, moving people from one dept or business to another. This environment is since xFSL discussions came.

A funny thing just happened in Taiwan, their FAE team got an order to layoff some people, you guess what? their FAE leader did job rotation to let his teammates transfered to other department then transfering them back after layoff season passed. No wonder in Taiwan there’s no one laid off, maybe you guys can copy this working model.

The contractors are down to only 2 on one shift now, not sure of the total left but they cut 30 last week. They are still having a shutdown in May. My bet is there will be more actual NXP employees getting cut soon too. This is not looking good for anyone there. Everyone is scared and starting to jump ship. Production is way down, moral is tanked and yet they are telling us its okay. Not good folks. NXP is closing doors in the US. Just my opinion.
