IT is finalizing a contract for outsourcing part of the workload

IT is finalizing a contract for outsourcing part of the workload. Allegedly, this is supposed to help the developers focus more on improving the in-house software and less on bugs, but the IT department acknowledged that there's going to be more payoffs in the upcoming months. Starting soon, developers will be spoken with privately to have their role in the outsourcing explained (if they're going to be let go when it's over, if they're staying, etc). We're probably going to see a lot of people quit voluntarily because, well, who wants to stick around six months for some place they aren't wanted?

This post I took from @Yp3i2G1-4ywo . Any truth to this?

That should read "there's going to be more layoffs in the upcoming months." I typed that on mobile.

I have a feeling most people searching for this already know, but this is coming from an IT Town Hall meeting on March 27 in the CLE office.
