Hi, I was just wondering what kind of severance package does Deloitte US and Canada pay when they "Counsel you out of Deloitte" :) Just gathering intel before taking an offer.

They will give you the bare bones. For example someone who worked there 3 years will get 8 weeks. Which is a joke considering most large companies who earn as much as they do pay years or at least months. From my experience don't sign anything hire a lawyer or ask for advice. They can extend the time you're supposed to sign a package. I did this and i ended up getting 8 months. Only paid lawyer a contingency fee.

In Canada there are both common law and statutory requirements. Statuatory is two weeks per year worked but case law would give you at least 2 months of each year worked. Definitely hire a lawyer, they only work success fee.

I worked for them for 3 years and got nothing except for my accumulated PTO.

There is no rule as such. They decide what they want to give you. I worked with them for 2 years and only got 2 weeks.

Each country has different rules. In Canada it's 3 weeks per year of employment.
