Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

New York Suffolk county gca 105

So unfortunately a tech passed away that was illegally covering gca 105 from gca 104 boroughs. Rip. Anyway the only technician left in gca 105 ( who was illegally in the middle of the night reassigned there to avoid being laid off) lives in Staten Island. Now that's over 150 miles approximately from where the work is out east, your telling me this Technician is in his area at 8 am and leaves that area at 5 pm to go home.... not a chance. The shady moves the Tsm in that area pulled off at the expense of other technicians is laughable. Age discrimination goes on here, technicians had recall rights and were passed over with hush hush moves and trickery. The cat is out of the bag in this area. They need a FEW technicians brought back.... Lets check gps reports and see where this tech who got the transfer to gca 105 really is or works all day long... guaranteed its not in Suffolk gca 105........

Techs are supposed to be in their area at 8am if they are on home garage. No exceptions.

Technicians can do routine maintenance people, no excuses to be sitting home. No need for server to be doen to be in area...

Sounds like an older Technician got laid off or passed over in some way and wants his job back. Sounds like a Technician got the ax and younger technicians were saved illegally to me. And the technician guy or girl seems to make valid points.

Some out-dated thinking it seems. Not defending anything shady by management but expecting a tech to drive to his area and WAIT for server to go down is laughable. Not sure what any lawyer could make of that. But you never know nowadays. I personally know a tech who drive hours or even a day to get to a job sometimes. Almost seems like some people or person has an ax to grind. Would love to know the relationship of poster to said techs/management. Peace.

New York long island and the boroughs is SHADY, if anyone had guts to get a lawyer they could sue the Union cwa 1104 and 1106 and the Tsm for cheating people out of jobs and falsifying company timesheets and making individual agreements with workers under the table to stay quiet about things. No way should Suffolk have a Staten island resident reassigned to that area, no way that's the shadiest thing EVER. Guy is in Staten island every day at 8am . The lone tech should be onsite in Suffolk at 8am . And the other technician who lives in DEEP jersey with his company truck 200 miles a day on??? What's that all about? Another guy who sits home and does NOTHING all day long. The entire area is a WASTE .

My guess would be techs are mostly running small business calls or sitting at home.

Honestly, why do we still have technicians? Do we really still have that many customers with HW deployments? All of my customers are fully virtualized and SW only.

How can New York be such a mess? The management in New York is a disgrace, a clueless Tsm who couldn't manage a lemonade stand, and incompetent technicians who either live deep in NEW JERSEY DEEP DOWN JERSEY, or Suffolk county technicians who live in Staten island, are we serious here? These rechnicians could be fired easily by looking at gps reports and matching the timesheet , done gone. And let me say this is facts, shareholders deserve better. Its actually not the technicians fault, its management, who allows a Technician to take a company car deep into South Jersey every day on home garaging when they are in a Queens union? That technicians should have to pick up the work truck at 8am in his area, same with the Staten island tech, you want to transfer illegally into Suffolk in a shady way then be in Suffolk at 8am..... Older technicians have been laid off or fired over a $1.80 day 1c code that was a setup deal never should have gotten to that, another tech fired in new York for using a cell phone for personal calls ( everybody does that) yet these two so called younger technicians never are in their area, sit home all day get protected, why??? Is it that they have something on the weak TSM? Makes you wonder, why is senior management not doing anything? They read all these posts,. Bankruptcy looms. Massive layoffs and sweeping coming.

That Gca long island New York has been a mismanaged mess for a decade now. One tech covering Nassau and Suffolk and he lives in Staten Island? This is confirmed, ax the entire GCA of 104 and 105 bunch of thiefs. Always have been nothing more than wire pullers, and lots of technicians have suddenly died in that area, very scary.
