Based on Singapore’s office sad experience, hiring of individual contributors from India is not as bad an issue as hiring managers from India. That’s when people get replaced while the new manager hires more from India. Talk about diversity and meritocracy! Singapore may just have imported cronyism from India?!
That's it, I am adding "I love poppadoms" to my CV.
2 reasons - Hasso doesn't like me eating pretzels, and secondly - well I love poppadoms.
And I think the timing is right for me to land a great position in SAP.
I am sure I need to know nothing of S4 - as I can just pick this up by reading a few power points once I am working in SAP and have time to read them.
Well, that sounds about right. Probably productivity might go up slightly initially. It seems that people become less productive once they are permanent staff at SAP. They seem to be more involved in power point consulting. Few I know actually test out some of the designs on the slides. I am an external contractor - and I have been gainfully employed by sap for many years as the internal staff seem to find some of the project work un-interesting. I am a bit annoyed as the Indian guys seem to be harder working and taking work off me! I guess the chickens have come home to roost.
It’s been decades but people still prefer to buy German cars and not only with the German brand, but it must be made in Germany, not made elsewhere like in Mexico and Thailand, which is where the cheaper, lower end makes are manufactured nowadays.
Obviously, people are willing to pay for quality and they expect quality in return, for big investments.
Now, why aren’t there any international demand for cars made in India yet?
It doesn't sound nuts. Because L1 visas are perfectly legal and there is no quota for L1.
I am not surprised.
SAP Singapore has suffered the same fate for many years especially now where we have an Ind SEA COO
Proof? It happens all the time. I sm surprised this is news to the original poster. H1b is not easy to get so they do interoffice transfers. No quota.
@ the thread starter:
Do you habe any proof for your claim? Bringing Indians to the US at US market salaries in a systematic way sounds completely nuts.
If management wants to get rid of ‚illoyal old bums‘ they can just hire ‚fresh talent‘ from the nearest campus around the corner.
Have you wondered why SAP software have had more bugs recently than any time in its history? More project failures than before?
SAP will die in the hands of this group of people!
