Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

Enrollment is down to 85,000?

Did UoPX actually give out enrollment numbers to faculty? Is it really 85,000? If so, this is significant. But you cannot add it to Wikipedia unless it's in a verifiable source.

There is no way to know actual enrollment. Leadership is not trustworthy and will spin the slightest hint of good news into a mega victory or achievement. All my sources say between 70-75K. The number thrown out as the bottom a year ago was 75K. No one at my campus knows the actual enrollment umber. Clearly there is very minimal new enrollment.

'I guess they keep enrollment numbers away from the public because they no longer are a public company...'

and because grifters never want the grifted to know the truth.

Yes true. All of these numbers have been shared at every president’s call over the last two years, and everyone on staff was invited. That’s how I and many other know. So if someone doesn’t know they chose not to listen in (or listen). Financials weren’t exactly kept secret. So your informer network, if ou want to call it that, is especially clueless, not even knowing numbers shared widely. “Some insiders” !

I guess they keep enrollment numbers away from the public because they no longer are a public company and thus don’t have to any more, so why should they with bashers like you around. And who in their right mind would answer an inquiry - any - from you? You’d twist it around in the worst light anyways.

@ZPkfYQD-2stg, by the way, how many schools keep their current enrollment numbers away from the public? How many schools won't answer questions to people asking basic questions like revenues and expenses?

@ZPkfYQD-2stg, that's not true. Not all staff have been given numbers. Not even all enrollment people. So is 85,000 about right?

Your “spy” “network” obviously s---s. The president has been giving out financials and enrollment numbers to ALL staff ever since he got there a couple for years ago. And you don’t even know at this point ??? How can you make any statements about UoPX and be credible when you’re this clueless?

Go ahead and add to Wikipedia. At least it’ll contain something current then :)
