Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Stock Price?

Crude has seen a small rally recently and many of our competitors stock have followed. Why do we continue to lag? Seems to be stuck in that $60 range.

Market cap today is $69 B. Market cap on May 1, 2012 (7 years ago) was $69 B. No value creation.

Stock buybacks not working.

Asset sales not working.

Shale development not working.

CAPEX expenditures not working.

Layoffs not working.

Nothing is working to add shareholder (owner) market value.

Meanwhile CEO has pocketed more than $100 MM during this 7 year period. Why? How much longer are the BoD and shareholders going to tolerate this?

Wall Street expecting us to do something stupid with our cash.

It's not just what we do. It's how we do it...
