While I see your point. Giving away $25 memberships after how they treat employees. Think about it. We all know memberships are WORTHLESS. Customers complaining all the time they not getting what their promised. Free shipping’s a mess. Getting books quickly is a mess. If they gave out gift certificates.? I’d be mad.

Memberships only good for the AUTOMATIC RENEWAL most customers don’t know will happen !

It wouldn't be too difficult to give away free memberships; just hand out coupons that state that they are good for a free membership only and that the person with the coupon needs to have it activated in store. They go in and someone enters in their info into the system. Easy Peasy. It is very likely only about a fraction of the people who got the free memberships actually sign up so it doesn't cost a huge amount for the company.

How do you give away a FREE membership to people on a parade route? How is it entered into the system for identity and info on person? It can't just be handed out. How is it activated? Maybe they gave out small amount activated Gift Cards? This FREE Membership thing sounds unreal.

I’m not surprised :paid for a float in a parade, serving multicolor cake in stores. Easy to see who’s business they’re after.
