Thread regarding Cabela's Inc. layoffs

Sidney DC unimportant

Someone keeps posting how the work at the Sidney DC was vital to the success of the company. So if it was so vital why did they just shutter the ENTIRE operation and things are humming along?

OK, the distribution center was closed bu Bass Pro Corporate, There is not thing one we can do about it. So it is to time to quit this silly high school/grade school bickering about he said she said, and move on.

As to the the retail in Sidney, only time will tell if Bass Pro keeps it of shuts it down, ( I have a feeling this has already been decided). There again there is not thing one any of can do about it.

Instead of living in the past isn't time we move forward, learn from the mistakes of the past, the truth of the matter is Cabelas is no more, it is nothing but a subsidiary shelf brand, so to speak.

Trying to bring the heady days of when Cabelas ruled the roost in our community are gone.

All the name calling, petty bickering, false narratives and accusations need to stop.

A false sense of Hope and security is worse than having no hope at all

Not saying they will close store 1 , yet people need to be aware of the fact that Sidney is a underperforming store and the possibility of closure is evident.

To lure people into a false sense of security is not only wrong but immoral as well.

It is best to be prepared for the worst out come and it if does not happen we go on as before.

If the worst should happen then we are prepared and can react accordingly.

I think D--k Cabela meant that the prospect for his bank account was never brighter! For the rest of of the employees..hope they don't foreclose on you after most of Sidney residents are without a job. You are still singing the praise of a family that destroyed hundreds of lives in SIdney. Sorry I'm not drinking that Kool Aid.

Bass Pro saw no value in keeping the DC open or it's employees on the payroll. Now that is an indisputable fact. No hate, just a fact.
