Thread regarding Schneider Electric layoffs

Peru Layoffs

This got announced a few months back... It's turning into realty now. Not that big, but still a hit for the community...

Schneider Electric has detailed the first round of layoffs that will come from the closure of its Peru facility first announced in February. The company says 32 employees will be let go over a two-week period beginning July 12, though more than 300 will ultimately be laid off. The Kokomo Tribune reported in April the company decided to move forward with the closure after negotiations to stay had failed.

Can't say they didn't warn that this would happen if a strike took place! Took them longer than expected though.

Union bosses still have jobs though. Sorry about the rest of small town mid america.
