I have spent 11 years with Cabela’s and I was lucky to have good mentors, managers and I liked people I worked with. I enjoyed every day at work, customers were difficult sometimes but most of the time I was dealing with nice people who were into same things as I was – that made work really easy. Now, I know some of you had different experiences while at Cabela’s, I am sure the acquisition did not make things easier. All what I have to say is good luck and hang in there – God will show you the way and things always work out.

It is funny how you know these posters were banned unless you banned them . Then it is funny how we are supposedly getting all this discussion between people on this subject. Give me a break can’t you at least try to not be so obvious.
I was thinking the same thing
It's quiet because many have been banned and not just Mr. All CAPs.
pretty quiet around her now
As difficult as it is to say, Cabela's has become nothing but a subsidiary shelf brand of Bass Pro Shop.
It is clear this has been a simple sale of a company and they are systematically reducing Cabela's signage until it is just BP with a few Cabela's hunting items
I speak for everyone in saying his ideas are pure garbage.
. He clearly loves the attention. He states more and more outrageous things every other day. He then claims everyone is against him and removing ONLY his posts.
We all agree!
Well isn't this just precious,. An individual attempts to post a sincere statement and Mr. All Caps appears to condem and ridicule. Mocking his comments and calling him a hateful exemployee.
Once again as always the thread is hijack d and twisted to become a outlet for hyperbole as well as nonsensical rhetoric on how he thinks how unfair the whole situation is
Yes it is unfair,. Life can s--- from time to time. In all reality those who orchestrated this fiasco do not give a rats a$$ about you or anyone else . They received what they wanted. And there is nothing what so ever you or anyone can do about it.
Isn't time to move on and find something else that you can be the pretend saviour of.
The sale is over and done move on
I choose to discuss the topics related to Cabelas layoffs.
I wish Mr. ALL CAPS would just apply for food stamps and welfare and leave everyone else alone. His pleading and begging for other people's money is embarrassing. Or just and get yourself a job at Applebees...before it shuts down for good!
The sale is long over...the pig is almost digested by the snake. The employees are laid off. Get over it. Talk about living in the past. I, am going to pray to god you have at least two brain cells left in your head, to know that IT IS OVER!
Yes I am attempting to focus on post related to the merger agreement and away from a extremely insincere post about caring for people. This poster is basically saying I pray for you but I myself will take every actions I can to make sure you suffer . this sad to say happens so much..
This poster is sad to say far to common. Like at a funeral you will hear I am praying for you I wish this or if there is anything I can do for you. Then when the funeral is over the individual may be bad mouthing the person who died or plotting to take advantage of the person family who died . This happens all the time
Let me get this right you do not think the merger agreement should be followed and bass pro works to try and insure everyone is treated fairly. You think it is wrong for the major figure in the merger agreement to ask those who without a doubt gained the most from the agreement to help out in some way to those who have suffered. What are you hoping for and praying for. I assume suffering ,financial difficulty .and hardships in their lives. Am I right?
My question to the poster who wish people good luck and pray for people. What is your position on the terms of the merger being followed and hopefully everyone will be treated fairly. Secondly the major figure in the bass pro And Cabelas merger has suggested those who without a doubt gained the most from the merger give something to those who has suffered from the agreement. ?
Thanks for answering my question mr Cabelas hater . I was almost sure you posted this topic when you didn’t refer to the bass pro and Cabelas transaction as a merger. However your insults to two very reasonable questions proves this . I am curious after what five years or more of being fired from Cabelas do you ever feel it may be time to move on with your hate towards what is now bass pro and hate towards people who many have family members with very serious problems. Your statement seems odd I will pray for people but then I will fight with all my might to see these people get no assistance.
Can we please get back to discussing topics related to the merger and refrain from saying I don’t like this post or that post and only by untrue gossip should be allowed because I like that. I am amazed how stupid you look. A story which basically appeared in every major media outlet in Nebraska shouldn’t be discussed because you don’t like it and day after day your post 86 silly unrelated gossip should be discussed.
Would someone please explain how and why to first two posts have any relevant bearing on the original posters intent.
Or is the yet one more attempt to hijack yet another thread to the rantings of one singular individual.
Not in best interest of shareholders!
1500 employees were laid off at Cabelas and what make you think only one person would raise a question in regard to layoffs. Then you mention a silly insults and expect two people would care about your silly insults.lol
To the last poster I didn’t think the guarantee severance package in the merger agreement which the directors approved was in the best interest of the customers employees or shareholders of 23 million for the directors and zero dollars for the remainder of the almost twenty thousand employees. Did you?
I am curious to the last poster what did you think of the Employee foundation sent up my the directors and top management where they asked employees to contribute to a fund to assist employees thru difficult situations . My manager suggested in my situation almost a 1 percent contribution to the fund would be a good contribution. I know a year ago the president of bass pro asked if those employees who received a tremendous windfall severance package asked them if they could contribute to a plan to help employees in with difficult situations I have contributed what they asked of me for probably 10 years. I never did hear how the contributions from those the owners of bass pro asked to contribute went.
