Las Vegas-based c-sino company MGM Resorts International states it expects to cut 1,000 jobs.
The layoffs announced Monday include 254 jobs the company said last week it would cut as it works to cut costs and raise earnings.
Chief Financial Officer Corey Sanders states 35 executives have taken voluntary retirement. It’s an effort to boost earnings by $300 million.
The business reported earnings was 12.6% greater during the year’s first quarter compared to the identical period in 2018 but that its cash flow in Las Vegas fell by 10 percent.
