Talked to some of my former Cengage colleagues, and they all seem to believe they’re protected from job losses due to the fact that MH will be running the combined entity. Is this the general sentiment? It seems shockingly naive to me given what the cost cutting targets are.

Wake up!!!! Everyone has a target on their backs except MH! Additionally product at Cengage is a JOKE the best thing they could do is ax all of Cengage product starting at the top. The fish rots at the end and that is generous applied to the product leadership at Cengage!
Of course they're going to get rid of people. How many duplicates do you think we need. Have they figured out who will be head of sales? They fired half the sales force yet?
I’d prefer a severance and walk away from this nonsense, please lay me off you schmendricks. My dm is a complete kool aid pushing mo--n out of Texas, you can figure it out. She thinks she’s safe too.
I just don’t see how it will matter if you were McGraw or Cengage. It’s going to come down to whatever saves the most cash. It’s all about MH’s stock options at the end of the day.
We're numb to reorgs because they happen so often. Everyone I've spoken to has been hoping this would be the case but are prepared for the big reorgs that are coming.
MH loves reorgs and layoffs so I'm expecting that.
