Yeah, that would have been nice but just wishful thinking. Why would TDS want all the antiquated equipment? They got their own and it's much better. Time to apply for a job at TDS.

I cannot see TDS buying all of frontier in WI. They would only want select areas. They are already overbuilding Frontier in certain markets as Frontier will not invest in the infrastructure. More likely TDS will just run them out of the best areas.
Anyone who could own the properties without debt could make money on them. FTR made bad deals and has too much debt to operate. It’s as though Dan was tasked with being a spinco operator for VZ. TDS has a reputation of running a good operation. I hope for the people involved that it happens.
The Wave bunch on the other hand... it’s the same snake oil salesman that ran Wave Cable and Summit Cable (Millennium after a rebranding effort), along with a few of his henchmen. They are cut-throat and have a reputation for sleazy operating practices. If you were VZ and thought FTR was bad, just wait. They’ll have you missing FTR in no time!
TDS refers to TDS Telecom. Which owns wireline ILEC markets across the US, also some cable & broadband companies from the Purchase of Baja, Bend Broadband, K2 and Merrimac cable. They are also the parent company of US Cellular. I would be surprised if TDS is buying Frontier assets, but they do have a history of growing thru acquisitions that fit their model and existing markets.
who is TDS??
