NetApp is home of the $125K package. Take it or leave it. No signing bonus. No RSU. Worst in the industry. Good luck!

Just ask for a year's signing bonus with no clawback. If they grant it, who cares if you get fired in a day?

I can’t believe anyone would even consider working for NetApp. They either don’t have a clue or they are fresh out of college. A seasoned veteran will avoid them.

I agree entirely! Avoid NetApp like the plague. It’s a sinking ship! Sales volumes are way down because they laid off most technical sales staff and now rely on partners exclusively. They are cooking the books due to selling buildings in and around Sunnyvale and within foreign countries. Layoffs are abundant happening continuously across the board and surf under the radar due to they way they execute them with exit benefits shielded by an NDA. They provide continuous pay for 60-90 days, hand you a lay-off notice and surf under federal laws regarding notification time. They are the worst company to work for. Avoid at all costs.

Listen, the company is not the NetApp of the past. In four years I had seven managers and survived seven layoffs until the most recent layoff that resulted in over 2,200 resources being let go. You DO NOT want to work for this company. Do your research and know that your salary going into NetApp in 2019 is not going to be comparable to historical salaries in general. Why? They no longer grant RSUs, pay hiring bonuses or pay base salaries much above $125K. Summary, stop wasting your time to work for a company who no longer cares about their employee base.

Wow. This is probably the worst place to ask for salary advice. People here are either angry at the company. Or are worried about losing their jobs.

If you are considering any role with NetApp, you need your head checked. Stay FAR away.
