Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Windstream on Glassdoor.com

https://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/Windstream-Reviews-E41693.htm

I just checked this out and was surprised to see Windstream has lots of open positions they’re trying to fill.

I was also interested to see reviewers give them 2.8 out of 5 stars which, if not super good, is not very bad, either.

They have and will continue to have lots of openings. They are trying to get skilled labor at Burger King wages. Field technicians, climbing poles all day, working in dry cable that is in shambles and only wanting to pay $16hr starting. I can think of a whole lot of things that pay $16 an hour or more and they don't require me to lug my 28 foot ladder into back yards all day.

I was let go back in January. I had an opportunity to return, but chose to take another, lesser paying job, due to WS’s instability, lack of job security, lack of yearly merit increases, no career path and less than average benefits.

Most of these reviews for cons say none that I know of. Anyone who's been here for more than a year should be listing all kinds of stuff as cons.

We're just like google minus the everything.

Maybe somebody can contact Glassdoor and let them know Windstream HR is AstroTurfing positive reviews?

(AstroTurfing = fake grassroots efforts)

Glassdoor should investigate ASAP before their site loses all credibility and value based on untruthful information created by fake reviews derived from desperate HR departments.

This place s---s big time. No Raises for years, and to be clear we are talking any salary adjustments just to keep even with inflation period when we state no raises. Why would any one recommend working for a company where the worth of your efforts is constantly declining?

If any one doubts that HR on Stream begged people to write good reviews to Glassdoor I can send the full text.

Alot of those have been posted in the past few weeks. HR had asked employees to write a review because our previous rating was only 2.3 in March. Because of that and ch 11 they are having a really hard time hiring and retaining employees. My review wasn't all that nice. the downfall of glassdoor is "They reserve the right to remove post they deem inappropriate "

TT is doing a bad job and everyone knows it. They are hoping that an uptick in positive reviews pushes the negative ones down. All of this is just window dressing, we are just polishing a t–d.
