Harris CapRock Communications Australia, is no stranger to sexual and other forms of harassment, including racial form its senior managers it seems.
We have discovered that In the last four years Harris Caprock Communications Australia has seen approximately 80% job losses / turnover, due to sexual and other forms or harassment, particularly from the leadership of the Projects and Operations departments. In many of these cases the harassment was reported to the HR manager and VP/General Manager, however no action was taken against the perpetrator and the employee making the complaint was forced to leave the company.
According to Dean Last, Technical Director (previously Operations Director) for Harris CapRock Australia, 'we need better people in the leadership positions, particularly in both Projects and Operations departments', as it appears some companies in the Oil, Gas and Mining Industry still think it is OK to say and do what they like to their staff and when the staff complain, respond with 'toughen up princess!' or leave.
