I was head hunted by Harris CapRock recently, made a load of commitments that I would get a mix of accounts - existing and new, but as soon as I joined Yagnesh Rajendran had taken on an Indian call centre guy Remesh Anbanantham and given him the BHP account along with all their other existing accounts - apart from a handful of major accounts that he kept hold of. ...so after being head hunted, made a load of promises and then having to start from scratch with a bunch of new accounts with zero training - apart from a DVD they gave me to watch - once they got all my contacts, project information and pipeline, Ian Ford (MD for the company) took me out in the car part after 5 months of working for them and fired me on the spot - for not having a big enough pipeline! ...I was so shocked, I went back in and said to Yagnesh that you know that I have a multi-million dollar pipeline and all these projects on-going, whats going on? But he just smiled and shrugged his shoulders! My advice, stay away from Harris Caprock, its a funny little company (around $6M pa) who pretend to be this big ethical company, but they act like a cowboy outfit and are very poor on the way they treat their people - working for them could ruin your career, so be warned!!
