Thread regarding Alcon Inc. layoffs

I was part of the Alcon Laboratories layoff in 2009. I have been told I may have a case against them due to my time with the company and that I was injured on the job, undergoing 3 back surgeries. I was told at the time of my layoff that I would be the first to be considered for re-employment. It has been over 2 years now and have been turned down by Alcon for numerous jobs, even the one I use to hold on the project that I helped develop at the company. Should I speak to someone further? I have been unable to obtain employment. I currently live in Arlington Texas.
