Thread regarding Roche layoffs

I left in 2011. I was laid off together with almost 2000 people even though sales were up (Avastin, Herceptin and Xeloda hit all times high sales numbers) and things were improving. I was let go after 21 year with the company, many weekends spent at work, giving everything I had. Why was I let go? So my boss' boss can have a bit bigger bonus. It's stupid. Roche used to take care of it's own folks and now things are getting worse. I am not sure if there will be layoffs in 2014 but I can tell you that 2011 was pretty bad with many people leaving.
