Thread regarding Air Products & Chemicals Inc. layoffs

The post prior to mine is the typical response you get when something is truly happening in any corporate environment from either HR or someone so internally focused that they are never objective. How do you feel now 47982? I get reports daily of ex-colleagues who are now gone from AP and most over the past few months. Many more phone calls from AP folks and headhunters on behalf of AP clients looking for other opportunities as well. The latest? As many as 1200 (yes, that's 1/3) of employees in Trexlertown will be gone and more worldwide. Seifi does not screw around. Sad, but true. Is is too bad that Bethlehem Steel did not learn the same tough lessons and refused to make the tough decisions until it was far too late. The Morning Call has some sort of deal with AP, seem to ignore and layoffs reporting, save to talk about them in vague generalities long before they begin. So what is there not to talk about?
