What kind of mess did we get ourselves into?? That place seems like a complete mess! I am well aware that TIBCO is far from perfect but some of the things I've read there are downright scary. I was never looking forward to this merger but I have to... — read more
Got some ideas but would like to hear from others …
I can guarantee you once it's done, this 'merger' will result in major layoffs. In addition to now redundant positions, expect to see cuts across the board. There's no better time to trim costs and reduce the workforce while keeping it low profile... — read more
I was anxious when I accepted a job at another company, but now I see that I did the right thing and I’m glad that I will be away from Tibco when this happens. I don't believe anyone here is happy about the merger?
I work at Citrix and had never heard of TIBCO. Now after reading this page…I’m bailing fast
When the next round of layoffs hits, I'll be praying to be included. Getting paid to leave this mess would be perfect. The way Tibco has been treating its employees lately is disgraceful, which is why more and more people are leaving. I can't afford... — read more
I can't wait to get out of here. Tibco has long been stuck in the past. Why is it so hard for this company to adapt to new technologies?
It's been some time now. When is the next one coming? Anyway nothing gets sold here.
More and more tibco support teams being moved offshore. What is the objective
I have seen prior posts where TIBCO has offered voluntary separations in the past. I am wanting to see specifics about the severance packages that are offered. Also curious about who qualifies for these voluntary separation offers - is it available... — read more
Just a bit of light reading for those who are interested. Today, TIBCO announced it has successfully closed the acquisition of Information Builders, Inc. (ibi) following its announcement in October to acquire the business. The acquisition marks... — read more
They have already disabled keycards for employees who don't need to be there anymore. It sounds like they may be shifting to various co-working spaces next year if staff meetings require a common space to gather.
I don’t know if it’s just my area of the business but I’ve been seeing an unusual amount of turnover within the last 9 months. I do not understand what is going on. It’s daunting to realize there are many who would leave - especially during a surging... — read more
Not sure I'll get any responses to this, but I'll try. Those who have left the company on your own in the past few months, how are you doing right now? Any regrets? I've been thinking of leaving for a while now but I'm still scared of ending up in a... — read more
I work for Information Builders (TIBCO's soon to be acquisition). Wonder what happens to us? Anyone know how TIBCO treats employees from acquired companies?
What happened with supposed 12/04 layoffs? I haven't heard anything, and one would think that a layoff that large would not go unnoticed.
Tibco is known for having layoffs in the first week of December and I don't think this year will be any different. As a matter of fact, I'm rather certain this year will be worse than any before courtesy of the pandemic. I hope everybody is prepared... — read more
Hopes all the best for the people who got affected.
Anything expected this year?
software engineer in bay area. if im still here this week and havent been told to talk to HR, ive made it through this round of layoffs? does anyone know if they are done for the year?
Is there any chance somebody is willing to share the severance info? Have there been any changes compared to the last major layoffs? It wouldn't surprise me to hear that they've decided to use the pandemic as a reason to cut down on the package... — read more
So many people have left since 2020 June. Still there was another lay off on Sep 2 in Engineering. All the best to everyone affected by this cut.
At least 15% (first hand source, not hearsay) of the global Products & Technology (P&T) budget has to be "cut" before November - the lay off head count will be heavily skewed towards high cost countries primarily the US (since labor laws (or lack... — read more
Is there another round of layoffs coming in the next two weeks? Last year we had a big cut around this time? Is there one expected now ?
Anyone hear about any covid economy layoffs incoming? Or are they going to wait for the standard June/July slash&dash?
Is this the new way to thank employees- just after thanksgiving and just before their bonuses are due? From a tech leader under Vivek to sad days of today - just mind boggling!
Is it just me or does this seem to be a larger wave and not the usual "a few people here and there" thing? And do we have any idea how long this will last? Being this stressed out so close to Christmas really s—s. I think it's really cruel to... — read more
Usually happens this time around. Any news?
It's been 2 months since last cut. I guess another one is coming.
How many got cut? I heard some very senior people were let go.
Is the new guy a turnaround specialist? If yes, we will see large cuts. But it may be good for TIBCO overall.
Can anybody confirm if layoffs have started or not? I've heard from several people today was the day, but (at least where I am) so far nothing is happening.
Heard some rumors about layoffs happening.
I am not aware of any restructuring or redundancies. Tibco is doing well and there are no layoffs in 2019 so far. I hope it stays this way.
No mid year performance review yet. What is happening? Does anyone know if there will be another layoff?
Changing jobs to work for TIBCO is one of the worst mistakes I've ever made. Sometimes I feel like I'm back in high school with all the gossip and various cliques. And if that was not enough, management culture exudes that good ol' boys club feeling... — read more
This company can be such a detriment to itself. We were having so many issues with product quality simply because of lack of training and resources. There is NO diverse perspective due to “old school thinking” in Tibco. Different groups that worked... — read more
