If you want the media involved, you have to present a compelling story. The truth is, there were lots of stories in 2014 and 2015 about bigger schools, such as Corinthian Colleges (Everest/Wyotech/Heald), ITT Tech, Devry, and University of Phoenix... read more
Paying them based on graduation rates (which is what they used to do) but in no way has any control over, is completely unethical. Yes let's continue to force the students to PAY for education that doesn't warrant the tuition!

Wow....stuff like this doesn't happen to healthy companies. UTI just admitted they are screwed, in my opinion. Demolishing the quarterly dividend from $0.10 per share to a mere couple copper pennies is not the way to reverse the share price slide.
UTI is starting a new campus in Long Beach. I know there is a community college program in San Diego. Wyotech is (or was) struggling in Cali... read more

Doesn't look good for UTI. The stock plummeted 22% today as they face a mountain of lawsuits and possibly tough times ahead with gainful employment.
It is my understanding from another employee that a student of Middle Eastern decent and of the Muslim religion had made what would be considered by many as a terrorist threat in lab earlier this week. This individual also was herd making threatening... read more
I'm certain you saw what happened to Corinthians colleges. Doesn't it sound all too familiar??? I truly hope you "get yours" for all the unethical things that have been happening within your organization for way too long. I encourage you to read some... read more
So let's get this straight. UTI hires me to do a job, which includes disciplining students when called for, then when an instructor "does his job", he gets reprimanded and sent home? How much sense does that make? This happened to one of our... read more

If you decide to go outside to establish a local, do shop around. While union organizers may be hard working, many mainstream unions are rotten at the top levels. Ultimately, a union is only as good as its local membership and their willingness to... read more
I feel like I needed to start a new thread because I am starting to feel as if UTI management puppets are contaminating our posts and threads now. Is UTI that scared and intimidated by their own employees that instead of listening to us or trying to... read more
I can't believe that UTI was able to but off this site and kill Going, Going, gone and the entire thread. It is very sad that UTI does not want to hear the truth about themselves and their miss management. UTI is pathetic.
As ABC News says, it's more of a "political pipe dream." But more progressive states can do this.....http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory/obama-proposes-publicly-funded-community-college-28105522
The melt down is about to begin, the government is determined to dismantle the for-profit segment and 2015 for UTI and other schools will be difficult.

Do we know what the plans are? With enrollment numbers going now and lukewarm recoveries of the economy, what do we expect for the rest of 2014 and 2015?
A very dear friend recently lost his job at Universal Technical Institute (UTI). My friend worked hard for years for UTI, often giving up family time to help UTI. He has 3 kids. He loved UTI, or at least the UTI that could be. He definitely did not... read more
I read the reply under Camden Kid and it looks dead on. Thought you should know that more people in admissions were promoted to Vice Presidents last week. These folks have missed every single goal for years and they got promoted? How is that... read more
