I had the same experience - agree with everything the others shared here. Do NOT go work for them. You will regret. I had other offers and potential offers but they offered me a much higher package (including new hire stocks) and I realized that it was a huge mistake during my first week. I asked a few friends before I accepted the offer but no one knows much about this company. Wish I had seen these comments earlier.
They had another layoff today. Hundreds of people to focus on their chance to survive in Covid.
I read these comments by others above and I must admit this company is TERRIBLE to work for.
I would run and run fast away if considering a role here.
Est i heard was 200 all supplied with legal documents to keep this mass layoff quiet.
On plus side shares have HALVED so... You reap what you sew
Worst company ever, full of nepotism.Initially they will offer you higher package while hiring otherwise no one is going to join this company as no one knows about this company and what it do. Since company is not doing well so the people who hired recently with higher package are the first one to layoff as cost reduction step. Manager here called Directors(fake) have nothing to do with the team and have a group of few people to whom they interact, promote and these are the same people who worked together in the previous company and only these people have immunity to layoff. Very bad environment, full of politics and bad culture became worst after they hired aggressive Apple contractors , avoid this any cost. HR at orientation ask new hires to give good ratings on glassdoor which is shame. So called fake Directors are earning fat paycheck and waiting for their stocks to invest. They have nothing to do with the company growth, they will all leave once their stocks invest.
nepotism at executive level is k–ling the company.
CEO said on Jan 16 - “8x8 had a very strong quarter ending December 31 and it’s clear that the investments we’ve made this past year in our go-to-market demand engine, channel partner program and product innovation are paying off,”
This is a screw shareholder and rank and file employee management team comprised of friends and family of Vik Verma. Most board's would have fired this CEO and his do nothing get rich buddies.
