I'm scared that the furloughs are either going to get extended or some people will simply not be called back once the 60 days are up. I'd like to think I'm worrying for nothing but so many retailers are using this to close some locations for good and get rid of some employees with no consequences (no media blowback, among other things) that I don't see why Urban Outfitters would be any different.

Yes I got laid off after the two months were up. Was completely blind sighted as my manager said they were going to bring me back. Had cut off my laptop access day of during furlough and i wasn’t able to save my own work. They just used it as a chance to cut roles for businesses where they didn’t see the opportunity. At least a warning would have been good. First laid off of my life and impacted me deeply. Moved here for the role. Also no support from the company or manager in terms of finding what’s next etc.
This was never disclosed - they told us they are doing everything possible to not have permanent layoffs
Does anybody know how many people Urban has laid off so far?
Just been told - don’t think they have done it yet
