And though Ottawa's tech sector has taken most of the recession's initial brunt, there are other success stories out there. Calian Technologies Ltd.'s first-quarter revenues, for instance, were reported to have increased in the double-digits recently. Calian recently announced that revenues rose 20.1 per cent to $55.1 million, while net earnings jumped to $3.3 million from $2.2 million last year.
