Thread regarding Palo Alto Networks Inc. layoffs

Layoffs are in discussion to cut cost

Heard from big shot.
Mostly high salary employees may be cut to create balance between old employees and salaries. Not sure but 5-10% cut likely happen and mainly in USA. Just prepare yourself if you’re having attitude issues and taking higher salary

Doesn’t look like a hiring freeze right now. Seeing people get hired left and right in the sales org.

Global hiring freeze. Starting to let those corporate functions go but trying to keep it hush hush.

Looks like a lot of bs is going on right now.
Quota was doubled, even though last years quota wasn't even achived. Meaning almost no commission for reps and SEs no matter how hard they try. Looks like senior mgnt has some KPIs to push the share price up at all costs.
Good luck with that in the current market...

I was told that I didn’t pass the probation period because I didn’t achieve the standards, which is weird because I didn’t have previous conversations about my performance, in fact I didn’t have any 1:1 in 3 months. My position was eliminated and there won’t be any replacement. I was in the SASE organization in EMEA

I’m getting pushed out as well, so is another person in another team that I am aware of. Getting pushed out right before our initial vest as well.

I was pushed out. Fake performance issues and management practices that showed they obviously wanted me out. After we got past the argument stage, I found out the pressure was organizational and not just my immediate manager. Possibly strategically getting rid of people to avoid layoffs.
