'Wow. There are people in Product making 125-130k at best.'

Lies. They get 150k minimum.

They got paid well because of non-standard compensation at the time. Someone higher up in localization could be paid 170K base + x% bonus + stock RSU for a compensation well over 200K.

If you played hardball with HR, even after the global compensation program, you were getting paid out of band, easily.

Why does localization pay so much?

Are you all serious? Some people in localization were pulling in over 200K (non-technical) several years ago. Colorado. I'm not surprised at 350K at all right now with inflation.

I have to reduce the salaries of people who moved to low cost of living towns. It's pretty much an order.

Will you STILL be calling BS when YOUR salary is reduced by 10%?

Somehow, I don’t think so ….

Just wait. It’s happening. Especially after last quarter’s results.

@2ty+1jq1rgdx3, some people, me included, don’t use blind because of their previous data breaches. even though they say their security is bulletproof now, there is no way in he-l i would be sharing my corporate mail address with them.

Then please explain how it’s anonymous and why they have so many users?

Have you used it? Blind requires an email to verify you work at Alteryx, your username is anonymous.

Why would people post on Blind where it requires that people use their Alteryx email address.

Good luck ya'll, I hope you have resumes polished. If last year wasn't your sign to jump this sinking ship and look for options I hope those of you that are spared see it's sinking this time around. PE and the upper management don't care about you or your loyalty, so why should you be loyal to them? GTFO of this toxic company, it's not what it once was when Data Dean was at the Helm and I can tell you first hand that there are better workplaces and environments than Alteryx in its current state with it's current set of leadership(C level an up).

“ So, a lot of changes is yet to come. Brace yourselves.”
For further validation, that someone who works here is posting this and not a troll, can you please post in Blind.
I have yet to see any concrete discussion happening on there but it seems everyone has a bunch of intel on this anonymous site.
If nothing is posted then this could probably be dismissed

Some new layoff intel:

High salary marketers as well as overall low performers have been identified for being pushed out. A couple of the marketing “leaders” will be retained, but there will be a wholesale turnover in the coming weeks and through the spring.

Layoffs will be staggered to minimize disruption to key programs, but will be happening.

For others, they will be given the option to have their salary reduced anywhere from 5-25%, depending on how much they are overpaid from industry norms, or to voluntarily leave with a very modest severance package of 4-8 weeks (salary and benefits).

Salaries have been benchmarked against a basket of large and small competitors. The results were quite shocking to leadership and PE, especially given the performance of marketing metrics overall. It’s a case of the blind leading the inexperienced, with predictable results.

So, a lot of changes is yet to come. Brace yourselves.

Weird people have a lot of details about the layoff on this anonymous site, but on Blind, the site where you need to verify you work at Alteryx, nothing is being said.
Weird…

Yeah, I'm just coasting along. I've heard they’re targeting individuals with high salaries—especially those who moved from big cities to more remote areas.

“I’m sure layoffs are coming but timing is off. Why would they do it before Inspire?”

They did that two years ago. I had a colleague who had already booked his travel and then got laid off like 2 weeks before Inspire so don’t pin your hopes on Inspire

can confirm this, as well. Most marketing “leaders” are going to be pushed out, or given the choice to subordinate to the new CMO’s chosen leaders — an effective demotion, with corresponding salary reduction.

Severance for those affected will (yet again) be bare minimum of 6-8 weeks in the US depending on where one lives. You MIGHT get a few weeks’ pop if you have been around for 3-5 years, but don’t expect much.

Layoff target planning and stack ranking are being done across all of Marketing, not just in the US.

Overall the goal is to remove higher-cost employees, especially those who have been around for multiple years. Said in another way, marketing salary cost reduction of another 25-30% targeted. This is because marketing is not pulling its weight and making its pipeline generation targets.

If your tenure is in the past 1-2 years, you are somewhat safer than folks around for 3-5 years, especially if you are at the Sr. Manager level or below. Director and up will be significantly more vulnerable.

If you aren’t currently or haven’t been actively interviewing outside of Alteryx, I HIGHLY recommend you get a jump NOW so that you are in a good position when the layoff is finalized next month and executed in May, and severance payout is received.

Kudos to those who have already bounced out on their own accord this year and late last year.

This also means that if your final RSU cliff happens in June, you will not receive it. There’s madness to their method ….
