I'm sickened by the 3,000 number. Honestly I wish I would be on the VSP list but my age + tenure = 65. Now I'm going to be left to take on even more work with the possibility of an ISP in the future. Where does this leave the people in the middle? I have lost all trust in a once great company. Does anyone think there is a possibility of a volunteer VSP? For example, if in the end they haven't met the 3,000 quota.

The VSP was offered to 3,000 HQ but they only are expecting hundreds to take it. I’ve heard they want 850 to take it but that is just a rumor.
I have heard 3,000 were offered because that is the number they would like to get to for HQ reductions. Is this not true?

Only take the VSP if it makes sense for you and your family. Definitely make EJ pay you to leave.
I would take the VSP. This has changed my view on the firm. The culture will never be the same after this in my eyes.
Perhaps a better question is will they change the VSP criteria if 3000 is not met and look at tenure vs. age + tenure
Not a chance. ELT is calling the shots. There is no way they are going to voluntarily give a chance to lose control. This venture is being very systematically choreographed as to not lose control and do it their way with minimal lawsuits.
