Orvis will lay off at least 50 employees, or 4 percent of its workforce, by the end of 2025 due to the impact of tariffs. President Simon Perkins said the layoffs are part of a larger reorganization. The company plans to focus more narrowly on its core business of fly fishing and wingshooting. In late 2024, Orvis already cut 112 jobs, closed some stores, and ended its catalog to create a leaner operation.
