Thread regarding American Electric Power Co. Inc. layoffs

Sooo, has RTO magically improved your performance and collaboration?

Because for me, it’s the opposite. I’m way less productive. The commute steals hours every day, and constant interruptions ki-l any chance of focus. I’m online almost all the time anyway. Remote work proved I get more done, but nope, AEP leadership sticks to their outdated, rigid policies. This whole RTO thing feels totally out of touch, wastes our time, and just adds fuel to the burnout fire. Honestly, it’s never been about results, pretty sure it’s just a sneaky way to make people quit.

True. People quit because of the RTO. Not because they necessarily want to, but because they simply can't comply. Some can't make the commute even if they wanted to.

The sycophants in favor of RTO could have been driving their ar-e to the office this whole time if they think they're more productive. Get real.

I'm way more productive but I do realize I'm in the minority here. I can set my personal feelings aside and recognize that RTO doesn't work for most people.
