They say retail store jobs are safe, but morale’s not great anywhere right now. Our team had to say goodbye to two amazing coworkers today. There wasn’t even a proper heads-up, just meetings popping up on calendars. I get the need to restructure, but it’s hard not to feel disposable.

The dust has settled somewhat. More corporate layoffs happened over the Summer into Fall 2025. If you look on Linkedin, you'll see a lot of leadership people like managers, directors and AVPs now looking for work that used to work at CTC because they cut out 200+ positions in Fall to support the "True North" strategy of being more lean.
They're not done. Come 2026, they are shifting to a high performance culture which means your a-s is out of you ain't making waves in their True North strategy. Basically teaching AI your job and getting the boot.
